Mr. Smart is Director and Chief Financial Officer of Hanover Financial Company. He is responsible for financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, corporate business planning and controls.

Prior to joining Hanover, Mr. Smart was Chief Financial Officer and V.P. Finance with Hon Development Company in Orange County, California, a privately held group of companies with extensive investments in real estate development and telecommunications companies. Mr. Smart was responsible for the financial management of over one hundred entities with asset values in excess of $500 million. Prior to joining Hon, Mr. Smart was V.P. Finance with Rancon Financial after eight years in the consulting division of the national Certified Public Accountant firm of Kenneth Leventhal & Company in Newport Beach, California.

Mr. Smart earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Masters degree in Finance and Investments from Arizona State University.
